Happy Valentine’s Day!!! Weekly Menu 2/14-2/20

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I hope you are all getting many wonderful sweet surprises from your friends and lovers :) This morning I woke up to a beautiful bouquet of flower from my hubby. We made a trip to the grocery store last night to get something for our tv and I never suspected he would come back with flowers, balloon, and chocolates. I did a real good job of hiding them because I’m pretty sure I could of found them otherwise, lol.

I wish our weather was nicer here though. It’s rainy, grey, and cold…typical Oregon weather. What are your plans for this evening? Have you had reservations made for dinner in advance or are you cooking at home? Tonight, I’ll be cooking a wonderful pasta dinner for the family and then tomorrow, we plan on going out, just the two of us. It’s been a while since we’ve had a date night, but we thought it would be better for us if it was after the love holiday so that it could be quieter and more intimate.  Whatever you guys have planned though, I hope your evening is wonderful, romantic, and fun :)

Monday
The Pioneer Woman’s Pasta with a tomato cream sauce and maybe a salad.
The salad is up to Josh, I know he enjoys just a plain good bowl of pasta
Tuesday
Dinner out- I think we’re going to Macaroni Grill :)
Wednesday
 Homemade Margherita Pizza
I think we’ll be going grocery shopping tonight too.
Thursday
(Awana Night)
Possibly chicken nuggets and fruit for the kids and a sandwich for me and Josh
Friday
Chicken and Broccoli Stuffed Shells with Garlic bread
Saturday
Ham Sandwiches made on the Panini grill with Chips
Sunday
Our Best Bites’ Baked Potato Soup
I’m not all that sure what treats and goodies I’ll be making on the side this week. I made so many yummy things last week, that I think maybe one goodie is enough. I will, however be on the lookout for a Good Carrot Cake. My sister Jewelissa has had a hankering to make one lately, and I myself have never eaten one because of the nut factor. I don’t like nuts in my desserts unless it’s just a topping…generally. I’ve been known to make exceptions though. So if you know of a great Carrot Cake, please let me know.
Treats and Goodies
Pie plate Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookies for Valentine’s Day Dessert. I thought it would be fun for the kids :)
