Weekly Menu for the Week of Jan 8th

Weekly Menu | Catz in the Kitchen | catzinthekitchen.com | #mealplanAll in all, I have to say the transition to back to real life (for those of you who are new here at Catz, Josh just went back to work from paternity leave) wasn’t as difficult as I had imagined. I got dinner on the table most nights (WIN) and didn’t go crazy!

I was, however, exhausted by the time Friday showed its sweet face…and then the weekend was full of errands! I forgot how busy a Saturday can be when you try and fit everything you need to do into one day.

But, it’s Monday, which means a new week with a new menu! AND we get to celebrate Josh’s birthday this week as he turns 33 years old! I’m making Korean BBQ Beef Tacos per his request and we’ll have Texas Sheet Cake to ring in his new year.

The recipes on the menu are faves in our house (aside from one new one I’m trying out). I’ve got a lot of beef and chicken in the freezer and I’m working on using that up – it will probably take awhile because we only eat beef maybe once a week! But, if the menu looks heavy on chicken and beef…that would be why.

If you’re stuck in a dinner rut, might I encourage you to try out one new recipe a week. I generally try only two new ones a week – whether that be something I’m recipe testing or one from a blog or cookbook, but I find that trying at least one really helps keep our menu fresh and not so boring!

Take a look at some of our other weekly menus for dinner ideas or sneak a peek at my crockpot board. I know school has resumed for pretty much everyone and the slow-cooker is a great tool to utilize during those busy weeks.

Have a great week everyone!!
