Tuesday's Tidings

Hers

1. We got this AT&T Digital Life security system installed over the weekend and like many things that I feel are 10 times more complicated than they really, this system is actually pretty easy to understand. It helps that everything is super customizable and easy to use through my phone or the app. Of course, until I’ve played with it 50 times, I probably won’t be use to it anytime soon. I’m scared I’m going to press a button that does something bad! #scaredycat #learningnewthingsfreaksmeout

2. Okay, this you guys is super cute. Have you seen the video of the Beluga whale teasing these little kids at an aquarium? It is downright adorable.

3. I started reading a new book last week. I’m still working on Moby Dick (Goodreads says  I’m 78% done with it) but to break up the tale of the white whale, I’ve begun reading Enchantment: The Life of Audrey Hepburn (aka my favorite actress) and in the three chapters I’ve read, I’ve learned so much about her already. She and I have a few similarities, which makes her even more relatable.  What is your favorite Audrey movie? I gotta say, mine is Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

1. We’re on Yummly! In fact, not only are we on Yummly, but we’ve added a Yummly button to our site! So…if you want to add a recipe to your Yummly recipe box, just hit the Yum button and you’re all set. I heard about Yummly through their partnership with Jawbone and their fitness trackers, but I’m a big fan of the way Yummly takes the recipe information and breaks it down into nutrition details. Check it out!

2. NYPD found an alligator crossing 9th Ave. An actual, real live alligator in the middle of the city. What.

3. You know that 200 calories of candy looks different that 200 calories of celery, but do you really know how different it looks? I’m betting not. Check this out.
